    First practice information

    Hi everyone,

It’s almost time to kickoff the 2025 Gator season! Coach Katie and Coach Claire are excited and ready to meet all the swimmers!

Please read this entire email. As we all know, Mother Nature has not been kind to us lately. The pool is chilly and we certainly don’t expect that much swimming will be taking place during the first few practices. The first practice is this Wednesday, 5/28 from 4:00-5:30 for all swimmers, and then on Thursday the age group split begins.

The coaches are planning plenty of dryland activities to help teach the strokes and get ready for the season.

For the first practices, please have your swimmers bring the following:

    • Sneakers and socks
    • A towel for putting down on the deck if needed
    • Warm clothing if needed
    • Water
    • A positive attitude and smile😃

Parents/caregivers are welcome to stay at practice, but we ask that you stay either inside the clubhouse or under the patio area. Please stay away from the pool deck during practice.

Practices are not mandatory and we certainly understand that this time of year is very busy for everyone. Also, we understand that timing does not always work for your swimmers given the age and time breakdown we have. If you are able to make practice, but not at the designated time, please talk to myself or a Coach and we will gladly work something out.

The practices for after school from 5/29-6/19 are the following:

    11 and under: 4:00-4:45

    12 and over 4:45-6:00

We are still figuring out the exact times for practice once the summer practices begin. Stay tuned for more information coming.

I will be at the first practice on Wednesday, 5/28, and be available to answer any questions you may have.

If the weather is not cooperative and practice is canceled, I will do my best to make that decision with plenty of time, so that no one appears to a practice that is not occurring.

As the season gets underway, I will be sending emails more frequently about upcoming events, meet sign-ups, and fun events.

Looking forward to a great Gator season,

    Sharon Fargo
